In the midst of the COVID-19 virus pandemic we recognize that health care workers and first responders are working tirelessly and putting themselves in harms way to perform their professional duties. While many of our citizens and businesses have been providing generous support, the Waterville Economic Development Corp will join this effort and launch its own Bridging the Community – Meals for the Frontline campaign.
The WEDC has launched this fundraising effort with an initial $500 donation and supported by its board members and their respective businesses with an additional $1,450 dollars bringing our launch total to $1,950. We will begin providing meals to the City of Waterville Police and Firefighters and the frontline healthcare professionals at St. Luke’s Hospital starting this week.
We recognize these are challenging times for everyone and every business. If you are able and interested, we invite others to financially support this effort with any level of donation you deem appropriate and able to make.
